Lives in Junee, NSW

My backyard studio is a large space with plenty of light and views to the hills in one direction.
I have a nice sitting spot and plenty of table space.
I spend most of my days there. People who visit say it has a great atmosphere.
The only shortcoming is limited storage space, but there’s always the garage!

Can't live without..
That’s a tough question.
For most things, you can improvise but I absolutely need:
The air conditioner!
Needles for different purposes.
Cutting implements – scissors, craft knives, my paper cutter.
Apart from that I need a surface to work on (cloth, paper, canvas)
and something to work with (thread, paint, pencils).

Beautiful space Sue, and those sewing baskets!

Thank you Michele. I’d love a few more of those baskets, but you don’t see them very often. 🙂

I am so envious of your big work tables. I'm currently restricted to smaller projects but oh the joy of spreading out far and wide! I have table envy. :-)

They’re ikea tables pushed together, so a relatively affordable option. But you do need the space for it 🙂. I was planning to teach bookmaking workshops until Covid got in the way. So for now I’m enjoying being able to spread out myself.

It is an ideal workplace and having visited you there I am very envious. Lovely light and work spaces and love the storage cases.

Having only a small spare bedroom, after a move 2 yrs' ago, I am awfully envious of your shelving !! I had to purge so much and all my precious 'stuff' is in bins in the closet !
Thank you for sharing your beautiful space.

I’d love even more shelving. If I was building the studio again, and had the budget for it, I’d have skylights and fewer windows, so there was more room for shelves. I’ve got lots of things stored in crates too.

Did you ever go to Sunbury High in 1960's? If so Laura is trying to contact you. Thanks
