I live in Nijmegen, the Netherlands For the last few years I’ve been renting a studio space from the local town council in an anti-squat building. There’s lots of natural light and space for working on my own projects and also big enough for groups who come for mentoring sessions or workshops. Unfortunately the contract has expired so I’m now desperately looking for another beautiful space to house me and my ‘stuff’! I can't live without... My heated encaustic palette & brushes. My large collection of threads, paper & vintage fabrics. Coffee, books and laptop.

A beautiful workspace. Envious of the space for working on large pieces. Hoping Cherilyn is able to find a similar space.

Oh I feel for you. Seven years ago I had to pack up my studio for a few months and was on 'subsistence' studio supplies, space and projects. The good part was when I unpacked, I re-discovered all these magnificent treasures that I'd forgotten about and glory days, I discovered that I had / probably still have a scissor fetish and have the world's biggest collection of scissors of all sizes and shapes. Who knew? Unpacking was such a delight! Hope you find new studio space and enjoy the move for the fresh insights it will give you. :-)

Thank you Nancy, I'm still in the turmoil of packing, not being able to find the stuff I need to work with & general disorder. I'm looking forward to finding quieter waters soon

What a wonderful studio space Cherilyn and so orderly! Such a shame you need to move. Here's hoping you find a great alternative soon.

Hi Cherilyn, it is lovely to see your photo and studio, even though it's the studio that 'was'. I remember very fondly the class I did with you way over here in Australia. You are an inspiration. Hugs

Thank you Annette, I haven't forgotten the wonderful students who attended my classes on my visits to Australia. Hope to return before too long
