My studio is my haven, a converted shed tucked away behind the house in the Brisbane area. Everything that I need and love is at hand. Tatty, chipped cupboards and chest of drawers filled to the brim with old floral fabrics, and endless wooden and metal boxes over flowing with threads, strings, and frayed torn scraps. A truly inspiring space to cocoon and hibernate in. Can't live without... This calm, tranquil space, surrounded by all that I love. I am enthralled with your "Studio Space". I look around mine and wonder if I will live long enough to use all my wonderful things. A number of years ago I promised my self not to buy anything new until I have used what I already had. I am quite proud in doing this but as you know there is always something that temps us and has to be added to our waiting treasures. Keep up the good work I love your postings. Margaret Dunn xox

Thank you very much Margaret for your kind words . Always tempted myself with a beautiful floral fabric. Fortunately I need lots as my pieces are rather large so I do indulge now and again .

What a beautiful studio space. I like your work table in centre of room and can imagine the drawers full of beautiful florals. So much charm.

Helen, I would feel very comfortable within your studio space, whilst looking at your images my fingers and eyes were just itching to explore within your 'tatty' time worn drawers and chests! Thank you for sharing 🙂

Thank you very much Nancy for your kind words . How lucky am I . It’s great to have all of the drawers and boxes for storage . I’m not always as tidy though as I get carried away with my pieces and reluctant to stop the creative flow ! 😂
