Lives in Franklin, Tasmania Working in the Huon Valley Tasmania gives me the opportunity to live and work immersed in the natural environment, not only am I blessed with the abundance of trees, leaves and bark, the environment my home, from which I forage provides a wealth of glorious strolls and experiences. I am becoming quite specific knowing favourites where a treasure trove of new and old growth becomes the jewels on the cloth. Can't live without... Yes, very lucky for this view, growing the Eucalypts and seeing them always inspires and reconnects me to the nature as my palette as well as my natural source of my sustainable art making

Love your work, and the studio is to die for. I am also a Textile Artist who dyes my own fabrics and also uses commercial fabrics if I have to. I use rust, Eucalypts, bark and lots of other things to dye. Your views are magnificent

Dianne working in natural dyes has so many possibilities. I am an Eucalypt specialist and you will be surprised at the range of results Eucalypts can give.

We're practically neighbours Linda. I'm also in the Huon. Love your eco dyed colours - they're so reflective of the landscape.

Awww. I only have a carved bowl from my last visit to the Huon Valley and live on the opposite end of the country! I can imagine you enjoying the nuances of seasons as they change and the influences of that on your dyed fabrics. Thanks for sharing.

eco dyeing blanket and making into clothing is very creative - recycle and make a new item to wear. I was born in Hobart - Live in ACT. I am a feltmaker and textile designer.

Yes it can create many challenges using limited materials but it pushes the boundaries to explore the nuances. I always dye and make from sustainable fabrics hoping you keep the piece for at least 30 years then compost it. Do you come back to your birth place in Hobart?
