tapestry weaving with creative and experimental techniques
Participants will learn a variety of tapestry weaving techniques including colour mixing, gradations, soumak, tufting, wrapping and shaped tapestry using the weft faced French Gobelin technique.
The first two days of the course will focus on these techniques to weave a sample piece. Then over the following three days participants will create a small tapestry of their own design.
This is an advanced weaving workshop; basic weaving experience is essential.
