Traveling Exhibition: Accepted artists will be asked to give permission for their work to travel. All work selected for touring should be available for up to two (2) years beginning December 2020. Work on tour will be insured. Work will be returned upon tour completion.
Retention of Art work: The selected works for the Art Textile Biennale, will be retained by Fibre Arts Australia and the regional galleries until the end of the exhibition at the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery or until the end of 2022 if another gallery takes it up. To be confirmed.
Return of artwork: These works will then be sent back two (2) weeks after the end of the final exhibition to the artists in the manner that they were received.

Fibre Arts Australia and East Gippsland Art Gallery will present an AU$6000.00 non-acquisitive award. The award winning art work will be selected after hung and before the opening night at the East Gippsland Art Gallery, by an international textile artist.
A full colour catalogue of the exhibition will be published. It is essential that the image provided is of a quality that will reproduce accurately and meet the high standards of a professional art publication. Exhibiting artists will receive a complimentary copy. Catalogues will also be available for purchase. All applicants will have the opportunity to preorder the exhibition catalogues.
Up to two artworks per applicant are allowed.
Entries must be original work completed after 31th December 2018.
All work must be primarily in textile or executed in a textile technique. Work must be original in concept and design and not be the result of a class or workshop.
Work must not exceed 2 metres in any single dimension.
A fee – AU$50.00 non-refundable per entry, with up to two (2) entries per person must be paid at the time of application.
Work will be judged from digital images. Selection will be based on the overall quality of the work and its compliance with the standards stated in “Conditions of Entry.”
Accepted work will be subject to final approval by the jurors’ representative.
Work, which differs significantly from the image representing it, will be disqualified and returned to the artist.

Artists may submit up to two (2) works.
Each entry must be represented by two (2) images: One (1) full view and one (1) detail. Works entered, as a multicomponent must be represented by three images: One (1) full view and two (2) details.

For each work submitted, artists must provide a brief description including dimensions, materials, and techniques.
Photographing your work:
Use a professional photographer if possible.
Each entry should be represented by clearly focused, well-lit images on a neutral background that accurately reflects the work submitted. Colour must represent the piece accurately. Work exhibited in a frame must include the frame in the digital image. Work framed under glass must be photographed without glass but noted that it will be displayed with glass.
Digital submission Specifications:
IMAGE: JPEG or JPG only, up to 5MB, 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side (either H or W), larger file size (should be under 5 MB) is not accepted.
Artists will be asked to provide HIGH RESOLUTION digital images (full view and detail) for use in the catalogue. In the full view, the entire artwork must be clearly visible; the edges of the work must show. Acceptable images should be at 3000 pixels on the largest dimension.
Fibre Arts reserves the right to reproduce the artwork/s or parts thereof for the purpose of publicity and promotion, on its website or for archival reference.
Notification of the jurors’ decision will be sent to the artist’s email by 17 August 2020. Fibre Arts Australia will retain the submitted images (accepted and declined) and reserves the right to use the images in publications and gallery publicity. Beyond such use, the artist retains full copyright of submitted images.
The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Delivery, Insurance and Return of work:
Artists are responsible for all costs incurred in delivery and return of accepted artwork. Artists are responsible for insurance of their work while in transit to and from the galleries. Fibre Arts Australia will insure artworks while in the exhibition galleries.
Each shipped entry must be packaged in a reusable container for the return of work. No Styrofoam peanuts please.
All shipments must include prepaid return shipping postage and address mailing label.
International artists should contact Fibre Arts Australia to make arrangements for return shipping payments before sending their work to the gallery.
Include the insured value if insurance is requested.
Hand delivered entries must be at the East Gippsland Art Gallery venue by 9 October 2020.

Using Post or Carriers: despatch your work to ensure that it arrives at the East Gippsland Art Gallery between 9am and 4pm, Friday 9th October 2020 to Tuesday 13 October 2020. Keep tracking details if you post your work or keep a copy of the freight documents.
Delivering in person: please bring to the gallery between 10am and 3pm, Friday 9th October or Tuesday 13 October 2020
All return freight/ postage costs must be prepaid. If you are sending works from overseas, ensure you are aware of all conditions that may apply to your work at Australian Customs. You must advise selling price in AU$. Before wrapping/packing, place all return freight/consignment documents with your work. Stamps to the value of the postage must be included.
COLLECTING YOUR WORK
After the close of the Exhibition on November 28th, artworks will be delivered to Toowoomba Art Gallery to be held in storage until hanging of that exhibtion on 28 March 2021
Posted works will be mailed after the closing of the exhibition at the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery
Fibre Arts Australia, East Gippsland Art Gallery and Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery will not be responsible for any damage or loss suffered by any person or organisation due to infringement of copyright.
Your personal details will not be disclosed by either party. Any requests for details will be passed on to the exhibitor concerned.
