DATE CHANGE: Art Textile Biennale 2020

In response to changes in Covid 19 alert levels, East Gippsland Art Gallery(EGAG) and Fibre Arts Australia will host

“Art Textile Biennale 2020”

from 22January 2021 to 5 March 2021,

rather than in October and November 2020 as originally planned.

Glenys Mann and Nonie Sutcliffe have said the exhibition would offer a unique experience for all artists.

This is a brand new exhibition, created by Fibre Arts Australia especially for EGAG and Toowoomba Regional Gallery.

We have made the call to move it to this later date and extend the season to give people in Melbourne and around the country the best chance to see this incredible exhibition

EGAG and Fibre Arts Australia are determined to bring this world-class exhibition to audiences, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding as we move the dates to let us do that.

It has been a considerable task for the selectors to select the works for the exhibition.

Over 200 images were submitted with entries from 150 artists from more than 15 countries, including many Australian entries.

The award winning artist will be announced on 22 January 2021.

Congratulations to the artists that were selected.
