My garden studio measures 6 X 4 meters and I love it. Always in a terrible state of disarray but I know where everything is. Large windows face south giving great light. It’s perfect for printmaking and painting. Presently I’m working on a portrait of my daughter Alice, close-up attached. Annie's Studio Space Always a mess My beautiful press Portrait of my daughter. Can't live without.. I love my radio – A B C classic FM all day, a perfect background. I like to hear the birds, our little magpie family, noisy minors, Lorikeets, Kookaburras and the occasional Sulphur Crested Cockatoo. I need plenty of good paper for printing and gorgeous printmaking inks. The press is a must and I love mine. I have a big easel and lots of paint, yum. I designed my detached workspace at home with my garden surrounding the studio. The very large north facing windows and skylights mean that the space is light and airy. Comfort for such a sedentary occupation sees me warming myself as I sit and stitch in front of one of the windows. Now after 20 years, I have a cooling system!!
