Collage – Material, Texture, Relief
The technique of collage allows the combination of various materials to connect and unify in the finished artwork. We will use materials with textured surfaces to create works with a low relief. These can be textile remnants, textured wallpapers, cardboard a.o. as well as material that we will produce during the class itself. Essentially we will work with the material but in addition to fabric, papers and cardboard acrylic paints are used to connect the different parts of the composition. We work on canvases or other solid painting grounds.
Suitable for beginning to advanced students.
