Jewellery and Small Objects from Waste Plastic and Metal

In this workshop you will learn how to transform rubbish into beautiful works of art and wearable jewellery. Anna will teach a number of techniques in working with waste plastic and metal, including fusing, forming, colouring, weaving and printing on waste plastics, and cutting, forming and cold joining waste metal. Students will be asked to bring a variety of waste items and will be able to observe Anna’s approach to reinterpreting materials. We will consider the material’s original intended use, where the waste material was found, and how it can be transformed to tell the story of its journey.
