Juliet was born in Scotland and studied Fine Art (sculpture) at Edinburgh Art College & University.
She has continued to create in sculpture, drawing, textiles and mixed media. She has been exhibiting her art in Melbourne since 2007.
Juliet uses freehand machine embroidery to create textile and mixed media artworks that explore the unique expressive potential of thread as a drawing medium. Her drawing skills underpin all of her work and she is passionate about passing on her artistic skills and inspiring artists of all ages to engage in their own unique creative journey.

Through engaging activities designed to improve drawing skills and encourage experimentation, you will sharpen your powers of perception and find a wealth of inspiration that will greatly enhance your art practices.
Each day we will immerse ourselves in guided drawing practices using a wide variety of techniques and materials, before unleashing our newfound superpowers on textile & mixed media projects using the sewing machine along with fabrics, papers, thread and other materials.
Students of all abilities and experience welcome.
