THE ART OF COMMUNITY

Fibre Arts Australia has hosted workshops and Fibre Arts events for over 25 years, giving professional and amateur artists from Australia and around the globe the opportunity to spend five days indulging their passion for creating art from fibre and textiles.

You’ll be astounded at what you can produce with the help of world-class tutors and the support of our energised, motivated and inspiring community of artistic souls.

Join one of our regular events and work intensively with the tutor of your choice. Widely regarded as the best Fibre Arts events in Australia, we guarantee you’ll leave feeling empowered, inspired and excited to come back again soon.

ABOUT FIBRE ARTS AUSTRALIA EVENTS

Hosted in Ballarat and Toowoomba, our five-day events cater to everyone from experienced artists who want to network with other professionals, to amateurs who want to test their skills and indulge their passion for the creative arts.

As well as working in small groups with your chosen tutor, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from some of the most popular, interesting and skilled craftsmen from around the world.

Our onsite accommodation and professional catering allow all participants to socialise and relax together daily. Your hosts Glenys Mann and Nonie Sutcliffe are always onsite and available to help make your experience the best it can be.

Many of our students go on to exhibit and sell their work in galleries, while others enjoy developing and exploring a project they have never had time to properly devote themselves to.

Workshop places fill quickly in our sought-after events so enrol today to avoid missing out!

MEET NONIE

Nonie Sutcliffe has been an active member of the textile/fibre world for more than 35 years since she first studied weaving at Melbourne College of Textiles. A past president of the Victorian Felt Makers, Nonie’s work has evolved throughout the years from fibre-based art to painting and collage, where she has
